Sogol is a postdoctoral research fellow, working on the AI4PR project. Her research combines traditional program analysis techniques (such as formal verification) with the reasoning and generative capabilities of LLM-based agentic systems to automate program verification for multi-language, large-scale software systems.
Sogol received her PhD in software engineering from McGill University (Montréal, Canada) in August 2026. Her PhD dissertation focuses on the application of AI techniques for automatically detecting and repairing defects in low-resource software artifacts such as domain-specific language programs. She has published her research in several top-tier venues including TSE, TOSEM, ASE, and SANER. She has also received many awards for her PhD research, including ACM First-Place Gold Medal at the ASE’25 Student Research Competition (SRC).
